So I Give Tinypost.Blog a Try Yesterday
So yesterday, I was looking around BlueSky and found out there is another, kind of minimalist Blog called Tinypost.Blog. Got curious. Especially since I am in blogging era again. Made an account, did a test blog. Dig into the settings, everything. There's no subscription or lifetime plans yet. At least as far as I can see on their site.
But I only did test for a bit yesterday before heading to bed. And when I woke up this morning, well...
I'll go straight to the pro/con first before I tell you what the "well..." part is all about.
The Pro
Signing up for an account is fast, like 10 seconds fast. Once you enter the code they sent you, you're in and you can start writing on it. It's that simple. So if you just want to write and not to worry about tweaking the css, it's there for you.
The Cons
According to their Github page, the site is in early development, like very early. So early that the site do not have a FAQ or documentation for it yet. The project is about 3 months old, I think. There isn't much settings available either. You can edit your bio and add external links tho. There's only 2 themes available, Light and Dark mode. You cannot tweak it's css settings or use a script, so if you're someone like Robert Birming or Sylvia, Tinypost.Blog isn't really made for you.
Unlike Bearblog, there's no discovery feed over at Tinypost Blog. You can't search on Google for blogs hosted there either. If you're unsure what I'm talking about, try "site:tinypost.blog" and "site:bearblog.dev" on Google (or any other search engine, though results may differ). The results between the two are so different.
The "Well..." Part
Well... This morning I found out that they have a Github page, I looked through it. I saw there was a file named CLAUDE.md, nothing suspicious as far as I've read. And then I saw the url name that Tinypost is under. So I got curious. Because if you know Claude, you know that it's AI.
So I went and checked out Jottit. And there it is, Made with Claude. Link straight to the official page. Right at the bottom.

Made with Claude Code. As shown in their Github page.
Look, I'm not against people using AI. And it's one thing to use AI for your own usage locally, especially coding. But the second you put it out online for users to create/write content on the said "made with Claude code" website? That's... that's just so wrong. I can't support it.
While Tinypost itself hasn't had any obvious relation to Claude outside of the markdown file on Github, I personally don't feel comfortable using it knowing that it's developer is the same developer that uses Claude on the other project they that have. Who knows what was copied over to Tinypost's code.
I deleted the blog there immediately after I found out.
