Tinkering CSS for Bearblog

I hope I'm not alone in this. Whenever I start tinkering on something, I can't stop thinking about what else I can tinker right after the first tinkering, and after that, and then right after it.

For example, I'm using a note-taking app called QOwnNotes (it can be local-only without touching NextCloud/OwnCloud integration), and I can't stop trying to find the right colour scheme and tweak slightly to match my likings. And then after that, organising notes in a way that also matches to my likings. And then start making more notes and organise even more. To the point where I have very specific text clearly labelled for that specific stuff and that stuff only (eg. 6 individual Stardew Valley Saves). Never-ending tinkering.

Back to the Main Subject....

... CSS. I sometimes have a memory of a goldfish, which means that the things that I've learnt in the past (no matter how little it was), I would tuck that information deep into the corner of my brain and have a small chance to not remember any of it in 2 months time or until I actually need the info again.

So I was playing around the inspect mode earlier on my own Bearblog while looking at w3School's website for refreshment, well, not really a refreshment but more like learning on-the-go as my CSS skills is pretty much eh, tiny. And then I starting to realise that I can play around with the main {} in CSS. So I did and I'm glad that I did. Because now I know that can be achieved but it also has it's downsides. Now I can't stop thinking about even more tinkerings.

Why I can't stop tinkering because I'm such a nerd when it comes to having the ability to change the background colours without having to touch the actual background colours. You get what I mean?

Take my blog for example, I want my main background colour to be darker one (or black in general) while the main reading part is lighter coloured (not extreme light but slightly lighter of the same colour on the main background colour) on it. And then the navigation bar has it's own colour.

So I did play around. And I will still play around after this post is published. But I know I'm getting closer. This current scheme is probably the one I'll sit on it for a long while. And I'm not so sure if the header colour would fit but then again, it won't be me without adding some derpy colours that ain't fit with the theme.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling. Spent nearly 2.5 hours on this specific post alone. Time to do what I was suppose to do. Gaming time!
