Re: sent 100 emails

First of all, thank you to ImPerfect for reaching out to me earlier this month via contact page. And I'm glad to be part of the 100 emails experiment you've sent out.

There were too many instances in which I drafted email messages for people that didn't share an email address...
For me, I didn't show my emails out in public is to prevent spam mainly. Experienced it first hand a decade ago with my very old blogspot1 site. And yes, advertising emails also considered spam in my eyes.
So for anyone that wants to say even a hello, there is a contact page. I don't mind!
Email exchanges don't seem suited for extended conversations. It feels like there's a somewhat natural upper bound around 5-6 messages.
I'd say for the most part, email exchange tends to be a little more professional way to keep in contact. And as much as some of the people in the Bear community are tired of social media, conversations on Social Media (toxicity/politics aside), the conversation over there tends to flow more naturally. It's one of the reasons why there's 2 ways to contact me on the contact page. Social Media or email (via letterbird). People that hates social media, can use email to reach out to me. And those that prefers to keep emails the way they are (basically keeping email address private, like me, and uses a form like letterbird) and doesn't mind using social media, can use social media to reach out to me.
Of course, that doesn't mean I won't be checking my emails. My contact form basically will send an email to me if someone contacted me via letterbird (don't worry, it's the same link as the one in my contact page). So yeah, I'll still be checking my email and my socials.
And for myself, I also started to reach out2 to a handful users, either via their guestbooks or their letterbird. Hopefully, I'll reach out to more users for their posts in the future.
Thank you again, to imperfect. For both reaching out and also have amazing posts such as this3, this and this.
Happy blogging!
